The Lenfest Series and the Theater department announce a Master Class with the Koresh Dance Company on Oct. 4, 2006 at 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. in the Keller Theatre. Reservations required for the Master Class and can be made by contacting Cathy McElhannon at 458-8002.

WORLD RENOWNED KORESH DANCE COMPANY, now in its thirteenth season, is known as a leading force on both the national and international scene opened the 2006-2007 Washington and Lee University Lenfest Series on Thursday Oct. 5. A highlight of the company's history occurred recently when Roni Koresh and his company were featured in the August 2004 issue of Dance Magazine in a six-page article complete with full-page photos.

Philadelphia’s Koresh Dance Company, renowned for its powerful stage presence and high-energy style, has been hailed as an extraordinary force on the national stage. Founded in 1991 by Israeli born choreographer and artistic director Ronen Koresh, this troupe presents its audiences with an exciting and emotional blend of ballet, modern and jazz molded into a style of choreography that is both eloquent and explosive.

As a special treat to the W&L theater/dance department, Ronen Koresh and his troupe offered a Master Class to 36 W&L dance students on the Lenfest stage. These dancers had the unique opportunity to learn a sizzling partial piece debuted in Koresh's Oct. 5 program.
