- Winner of the 2005 Geniveve Systems Ching Ching Contest. Granted site license for XClass software for use in teaching graduate courses that use computer technology.
- Awarded a WATCH award for Outstanding Special Effects for The Rocky Horror Show in 2001.
- Awarded a Faculty Senate Teaching Technology Grant for the 2000-2001 academic year to create a theatre technology web site.
- Awarded a Humanities and Applied Sciences Curriculum Computing Grant for the 1997-98 academic year to promote the innovative use of computers in theater classes.
- Awarded a UC Foundation Professorship in the fall of 1995 for excellence in teaching, research, and community service. Awarded a Computer Curricular Integration Grant for examining software that renders theatrical lighting and scenic designs from CECA in the spring of 1995.
- Awarded a Computer Curricular Integration Grant on Theatrical Lighting Design Software Examination from CECA (Center for Excellence in Computer Applications) in the spring of 1994. Designs inducted into the International Theatre Design Archive, October 1999
