If one believes that the battle of the sexes began with Adam
and Eve, then one has to believe that God must have had a sense of
humor when he created them. Otherwise he would never have allowed
William Shakespeare, The Bard of the 16th Century, to
cooperate so delightfully, deliciously, and so delovely with Cole
Porter, The Baud of the 20th Century for the creation of Kiss Me, Kate
- a rib of The Taming of the Shrew. It’s just TOO
DARN HOT of a concept to turn down. “So brush Up Your
Shakespeare” and get ready for “Another
Op’nin’ ” in our second season
of the Robert O. and Elizabeth M. Bentley Endowment for the Performing
Arts Musical Event.
Supported by the Robert O. and Elizabeth M. Bentley
Endowment for the Performing Arts.
